Due to March being a hectic month we've had to postpone our dinner. Keep an eye on the blog over the next fortnight to see how we got on at our next restaurant. We're still travelling the globe in West Yorkshire and as you know last month we visited Spain...so from Spain we will be heading to...

...we won't spoil the surprise so keep reading and hope you all have a very Happy Easter!

Christmas Dinner/New Year

Not long to go now and we will be back enjoying our annual Christmas dinner at our favourite restaurant 'The 3 Acres.' We can't wait. This will be our last dinner of 2011 and then 2012 will bring with it a whole new chapter to The Intellectual Dinner Club...next year we are going international. 2012 will see us sample cuisine from all over the world. Unfortunately we haven't quite achieved the budget to actually travel the world and sample international food but hopefully West Yorkshire can host us and help us to discover some new flavours. We can't wait!

Huddersfield Examiner Literary Luncheon

Amanda, Catherine and Phoebe attended the annual Huddersfield Examiner Literary Luncheon on Tuesday and this year's event didn't disappoint. Each year the Huddersfield Examiner newspaper hosts this fantastic event where people can meet and hear a talk from a line-up of famous Author's. This year's line-up was Joanne Harris most famous for her book 'Chocolat,' which was made into a film starring our dream husband Johnny Depp! Annabel Pitcher whose latest book 'My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece' is well worth the read, Mike Pannett and Chris Morgan Jones. Joanne and Annabel were fantastic, inspiring us with their talks about how they became Authors and giving us an insight into how they got the ideas to write such wonderful stories. We felt really privileged to be invited along to such a fantastic event and be inspired by some great Authors. The fact that dinner was thrown in too made it an extra special day...we love our food as you all probably know! We managed to sneak on to the top table for a quick photo and pretend that we were there to inspire the crowd...after all we have appeared in Sainsbury's Magazine! Maybe one day the Examiner will let us headline the show...here's to a fantastic event, we can't wait for next year!

COMING SOON!
